Erasmus+ 2021 | Mobility

Since 2021, we have started actively cooperating on Erasmus+ projects and have implemented several activities that were very attractive to us and the outputs of which we provide to other organizations working in the field of education and development.

Increasing expertise in experiential education

The project was managed under the number 2021-2-SK01-KA122-ADU-000041740 within the Erasmus+ section for education and training, Key action 1 - Educational mobility of individuals.

Project goal:

Throughout the project, we wanted to achieve the following goals: (A) Increasing the quality of education and learning of adults in Europe. (B) Expanding and diversifying the offer of adult education in the field of the business environment. (C) Support for the development of networks of experts on a European scale. We are currently trying to create a local Slovak network of laypeople and experts who mostly work in helping professions and are trying to apply new tools of experiential learning and innovative education to their activities. We would like to expand this network with additional contacts and learn to work in an international environment as well. We want to start implementing our educational activities in other countries as well and thus offer the possibility to cooperate in a larger European context.

We participated in 2 educational courses: CRS-01 The power of Game-Based Learning and Gamification in education and CRS-04 Efficient & Effective Project Management for EU-funded Projects and plan to further transfer the knowledge gained from the courses to our audience.

Transfer of acquired information/skills into professional and personal practice:

We created collaborations with other civic associations in Slovakia and presented them with a way to incorporate games and gamification into their education. For me personally as a professional, it was a great experience to see what different applications and online methods we can use to support people's creativity and joy of play.

The course is specifically designed to help participants understand the intricacies of project cycle management and tools, as well as provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the basic techniques for successfully managing EU-funded projects. The course helped me to gain deep knowledge about reporting on EC (European Commission) projects, to understand the responsibilities regarding the visibility and communication/dissemination of EC-funded projects, the preparation and resolution of obligations arising from EC audits, to understand the importance of project monitoring and self-evaluation, setting up evaluation tools for project and financial risks and the associated implementation of mitigating measures.

How do you perceive the positives of the Erasmus+ program?

The Erasmus+ program helped me to support networking and create a base of professional partnerships at the international level, which can help the organization in further development and subsequently the smooth implementation of projects financed by EU resources.

Transfer of acquired information/skills into professional and personal practice:

As part of professional practice, we started developing partnerships with various foreign organizations. We have published information about the organization on the EPALE platform to help highlight our organization. In addition, we started holding advisory meetings with other organizations in the NGO segment in order to support the preparation of projects for the Erasmus+ program, and we realized an online webinar in cooperation with the National Awareness Center for ROS/KOS and the open public, processed and published a video tutorial for project preparation in the Erasmus+ program also with practical motivational advice.
